Making A Big Difference

You never realize your dreams really can come true. Putting them in the hands of God was one of the hardest thing I had ever done. From the skyline of Vancouver, Canada then the the our BIG little area of Tri-Cities in Washington State to the view of the lines of sky that I have been blessed to see in the last 4 years serving to extend the Kingdom full-time, I am constantly humbled that the Lord is blessing me with the opportunity to take flight again and again. The first big trip, after fishing in a successful, in wordly terms, career job for 13 years and still missing "it" , The Lord kept saying, "Come, I will show you how to fish..." It took me 3 years to obey. And in 2004 I quit my 6 figure job to go to follow that command. As we are called to go "... in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Letting God Lead

God did something great today. Worship was amazing, but I heard the voice of the Lord encourage me to leave a little bit early. As I was leaving, two of our students were outside the worship room. I asked them why they weren’t with the children or the adults, but they really didn’t have an answer. So I gave them a choice. I asked each of them what they preferred, being with the adults or being with the children. The younger boy said he wanted to be with the adults because his mom was in there, so I sent him back inside. The older boy said he would rather be with the children so I walked him down to the children’s room. He hesitated as we entered the door. At first I tried to force him to go in, but the Lord told me to stop. I listened to the Lord. I saw this little boy with a new kind of compassion. He wasn’t just a child who needed to be controlled, he was a child of God just like me. I saw him as God saw him. A child who needed to be heard. Immediately a word of knowled

Story Time at the Temple...

All the homeroom teachers being gone today when I showed up to teach English, makes for an eventful class. Like I do every Thursday, we took hours to prepare the lesson before we leave at 11:30a, we traveled 2 hours attempting by bus, taxi, boat, tuk tuk and motorcycle, then finally arrived at the Thai governmental temple school. We teach there every week, usaully 2 classsrooms unless there is a random holiday or assembly planned right in the middle of the day that I usually find out about when I arrive (and this happens often!). This is in one of the communities that our team, at ARK International, and I get a chance to work with each week. It was organized chaos. No, in fact, there was so little organization I would heave to say, " chaotic chaos ." In the middle of the lesson 1/2 the class got up and walked out.
